Humana came to us to create a web video about the large segment of caregivers in the U.S. that were not being spoken to. As most of us may be a caregiver at some point in our lives, it was an important audience Humana wanted to reach. Our starting point was audio clips of personal caregiver stories recorded through the StoryCorps project, provided by the client.

SOLUTION

After viewing hours of StoryCorps stories we found several compelling personal accounts of how people stepped up and took care of their friends or families. We then shot a video of one woman’s story of how her sister cared for her when she developed cancer and then ironically the roles were reversed. We then cut the audio stories into the main video to show the breadth of other caregiver stories that were out there. The client was so impressed with the result they were able to get company funding to launch a Caregiver effort to provide information and help to those who need it.
